Function:
Transports gases, nutrients, wastes, and hormones throughout the body
Supports immune function

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, which causes the heart to work harder and can lead to many other issues
Aortic aneurysm, which is when the main artery from the heart bulges or tears and it can lead to severe internal bleeding
How to keep this system healthy:
Avoid smoking or tobacco use
Exercise for 30 minutes or more per day to keep your heart in good condition
Eat high quality foods
Fun Facts:
The cardiovascular system is part of the circulatory system which also includes the lungs
The body would not be able to maintain homeostasis without the cardiovascular system
